Intel® Math Kernel Library (Intel® MKL) is a computing math library of
highly optimized, extensively threaded routines for applications
that require maximum performance. Intel MKL provides comprehensive
support for linear algebra, fast Fourier
transforms (FFT), vector math, direct and iterative sparse solvers, random number generators, and more.
Intel MKL offers both C and Fortran interfaces for most routines.
To use Intel MKL effectively:
-
After installing Intel MKL, set the environment variables by running the script
appropriate to your target platform architecture and shell scripting language. The scripts are available in
<install_dir>/mkl/bin.
-
Choose the Intel MKL function domains that apply to your problem.
-
Use the MKL Link Line
Advisor utility that helps you configure the link command line according
to your program features.
<install_dir> is
the installation directory, by default, it is:
- For super-users:
/opt/intel/composer_xe_2013
- For ordinary users:
$HOME/intel/composer_xe_2013
Optimization Notice |
|
Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel
microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors.
These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other
optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or
effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by Intel.
Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use
with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel
microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the
applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the
specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
