Default

-global-hoist
or/Qglobal-hoist

Certain optimizations are enabled that can move memory loads.

Description

This option enables certain optimizations that can move memory loads to a point earlier in the program execution than where they appear in the source. In most cases, these optimizations are safe and can improve performance.

The -no-global-hoist (Linux* OS and OS X*) or /Qglobal-hoist- (Windows* OS) option is useful for some applications, such as those that use shared or dynamically mapped memory, which can fail if a load is moved too early in the execution stream (for example, before the memory is mapped).
